"Ahoy" at the Rudergesellschaft Niederkassel v. 1978 e.V.

We , the RGN are a nice little rowing club with about 55 members between 9 and 65 years old. Our boathouse, a restructured old ferry, is placed in the harbor of Mondorf, about 5 kilometers north of Bonn. Since the Rhine river doesn't accomodate competion rowing , our main efforts are in the recreational sector.
Besides the usual trips on the Rhine and the Sieg, a small river falling into the Rhine, we're also touring several times a year, so on the Lahn, Rhine, Neckar and Mosel. Even the channels in the Netherlands and France, the lakes in Switzerland and the Po in Italy have been destinations in years before.
More ambitious members join - on a regular basis - some of the annual marathon-competitions like the Rhinemarathon from Leverkusen to Düsseldorf, the European Rhine-Race ( Loreley-Bonn ), the 24-Hour-Relay-Rowing in Hürth or the "Tour du Lac Leman".
We welcome everybody who is interested in the sport of rowing. Our practicing times are Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
